From loving local grandmas, to experienced chefs from around the world, or even if aspiring young food lovers, the Yonroppa Cafeteria has taken on a Chef-in-residence style approach, inviting people from all kinds of backgrounds to take over the fully equipped kitchen for one day a week. The mountains and valleys around Kisawa offer loads of rare indigenous varieties of wild plants and mushrooms, seasonal vegetables (and wild game). Izuriha, our neighboring village, also boasts a wide variety of organic veggies grown with love by its powerful locals. We are always open and welcome to chefs who would like to turn these precious ingredients into original or traditional meals. Why not come on down as if you were on holiday, get in some well-needed site seeing and take our kitchen for a spin!
